Aliens In A Strange Land

Hi Everyone,

As a Christian, do you really realize what Jesus is telling us when He speaks about not being 'part of this world'? Jesus tells us that we are aliens in this world and that we are strangers here.

In 1 Peter He urges us 'as aliens and strangers' to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against our soul.

He tells us that we are not of this world. In Romans 12:2 He tells us that if we were of the world, then the world would love us, that it would love it's own. And then He says that because we are not of this world, but that He chose us 'out of the world' then the world will hate us.

In Phillipians 3:20 He tells us that our citizenship isn't even here, that it is in Heaven. And that we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Here's the biggie. In 1 John 1:15-17 He tells us NOT to love the world, neither the things that are 'in' the world. He tells us that if any man loves the world, then the love of the Father is not in him. He says that this world is passing away, and also it's lusts, but he who does the will of God lives forever. He says this again in John 15:19 and in John 17:14-15. Because we are not of this world, and do not take part in ANY of it's lusts, then the world hates us because we are like Jesus.

What are lusts? Anything that takes our eyes off of Jesus. Anything that gets in the way of a true relationship with Jesus. Anything that gets in the way of our walking in fullness with Jesus. Are you spending too much time on the computer? With music? Food? Are you overly concerned with buying clothes and what you will wear? Do you concentrate too much on collections? Do you desire any of these things, or anything else of this world, more than Jesus?

A real relationship with Jesus should be one totally centered around Him. People will call you a finatic. YOU may even think that to be finatical. Friends, Jesus is our Bridegroom. We should be so in love with Him that He's what's on our mind all the time.

I imagine that just about everyone has had a 'crush' at least once in their lives, right? What did that feel like? You were on cloud 9, right? He/She took your breath away, right? You were smiling all the time. You were filled with joy all the time. You couldn't stop talking about your 'crush'. All you wanted to do was get to know them. Spend time with them. Talk with them and spend time listening to them. To what they had to say.

Well this is how it's supposed to be with Jesus. Are you like that? Do you have that kind of relationship with Him? Are you excited for His return? ... or scared to death of it. If you don't have this kind of relationship with Jesus yet, here is what you can do to work on it.

Spend time in God's Word, the Bible. Read the first four books of the New Testiment. Get to know Him and what He did and said while He was on this earth. Read the other books of the New Testament after that and spend time learning what they had to say about Him and what He did. But most importantly, spend time talking to Him. Talk to Him and communicate with Him on a daily basis, often and regularly, building a relationship with Him. And spend time in His presence, waiting on Him. Sit quietly, waiting for Him to speak to you. To whisper to you. Spend time to get to know Him personally. He will speak to you and reveal Himself to you, if you do this.

Friends, I tell you this because I believe that if you do not have 'this kind' of relationship with Jesus, then you will not be someone that He will retrieve, when He comes back again. When He returns He will be looking for a Bride who He knows. And who knows Him. He will not come back for a lukewarm Christian who thinks that they're 'ok' because they go to church 1 to 3 times a week and the rest of the time they go their own way and don't consider Him at all the rest of the time. He will not come back for a lukewarm Christian that thinks their 'ok' because they said a sinners prayer in a church one day and walked away thinking, hey .. I'm a-okay now. And when on about their lives. If you are going your own way, making your own decisions, doing your own things, without consulting Jesus about everything, then I believe that you don't have 'this kind' of relationship and will not be someone that He will retrieve, when He comes back again. We also cannot be part of this world. If we are, if we are holding or desiring any part of this world over Jesus, I believe that you will not be someone that He will retrieve, when He comes back again.

Friends, please think about this. Please go to Jesus. Please spend time with Him opening up to Him and letting Him reveal Himself to you. He is our Bridegroom coming back to retrieve a spotless Bride. Will you be her?

Oh, don't forget that He's also Master and we are servants. He is also King. And He is also Almighty God.

  Love you guys.

Is Jesus the Messiah?

Is Jesus the Messiah?

Hi everyone,

Is it Harry Krishna? Is it Allah? Is it Buddah? Or is it Jesus? I'd like to share with you a few of my own personal stories and let them speak for themselves.

I was in a very long and very abusive first marriage. My ex husband, at the time, was a very cruel and evil man. He would come home drunk and angry just about every night. He would yell and scream and say horrible hurtful things to me. He was physically abusive only 3 times, thank God it was no more than that.

1) Well on this one particular night he came home drunk and he was even more extremely angry than ever. He had a pool table in our rec room and when he walked in that night, red faced filled with anger, he flipped that pool table completely over one handed. He began to walk through the house yelling the most vulger and profane things to me. We had a big fluffy corner chair in a corner of our dining room at the time. I was sitting in it praying to Jesus for protection. I didn't want to die that night at this mans hands. The chair was at the wall near the door where the kitchen was, and where the bathroom was. He stopped at this door right next to me and said, "I gotta go pee". I took that opportunity to pray out loud asking Jesus for safety. Well when he came back out of the bathroom, his face was white as a ghost and he was scared sober. He said that he had just seen Jesus' face on the bathroom wall and now he was going to bed. Well, that in itself was a miracle. He was more drunk than I'd ever seen him, more angry than I'd ever seen him, and he had just seen Jesus face! No one, not anyone, not at any time, can tell me that this did not happen, nor that this was not Jesus' face on the bathroom wall. This man was about to come back out of the bathroom and do who knows what to me. But my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ saved my life that night. Just as He had saved my life the day that I accepted Him into my heart. It wasn't Buddah's, Harry's, or Allah's face that he saw. It was the face of Jesus!

2) One very early cold snowy icy morning, around 3:00 a.m., I had to drive my ex husband to work. He worked about ½ hour from our home. He drove us to his work, but I had to take the car back home. It was our cousin's car so it was a car that I had not driven yet. Well, I could have gone the long way back home, the way that my ex husband had taken to get to work, but I didn?t understand at the time, how they don't plow less driven roads that early in the morning. So, I took an on ramp to the freeway thinking that I'd get home faster and be able to get back to sleep sooner. Well, that wasn't the best idea that I'd ever had. This on ramp was an L shape. I was driving super slow because the road had an entire sheet of ice on it. By the time I got to the bend in the L, (the L was upside down and turning to the left) I could feel the car starting to slide. It was sliding to the right, away from the direction that the road was taking. And at the bend in the L was a guard rail. Well, as you might imagine, I freaked out. I was so scared I'd run into that guard rail and roll down the embankment. All the sudden I heard myself screaming, "Jesus, stop this car!!" Just as I finished the sentence, I could feel the car come to a harsh sudden stop, as if it had been grabbed or had stuck on something. It was even shaking back and forth from the sudden stop that it took. I looked out my driver's side window, and there was the guard rail, so close that I couldn't open my door. I could see over it and down the embankment. I knew that it was the hand of God that had grabbed the car and brought it to a stop, all at the name of Jesus. What POWER in His name! It wasn't anyone else's name that I screamed. It was the Almighty name of Jesus.

Now I will tell you one of my husband's true stories. He had delivered demons before, out of his ex wife. He had experience with them before. One time while we were in Illinois, before we came back to Ca, John was with a friend and they went to deliver a man from demons. From what we understood he had 4 of them. From the first instant that John walked in, the demons knew him. They even told him so. They said, "Hey we know him. He knows what he's doing". When John went to work casting them out, he told them to leave in Jesus name. They SHOOK with fear at the name of Jesus!  John told them that Jesus has authority over them, and they said, "Oh we know!" All this was at the name of JESUS! No one else. Not Harry, Buddah, or Allah. But Jesus!

Jesus is the Almighty God. Creator of Heaven and earth. Alpha and Omega. All things were created by and through Him! NO ONE gets to the Father except through HIM.

You might need your own experiences to bring yourself to a place of believing in Him. I pray that it won't be too late for you. I pray that you realize and call on Him before it's too late for you.

You can pray to Him crying out and saying, "Jesus! I am a sinner! I am sorry for my sins! Please forgive me! I believe that you are God in the flesh who came to earth to save us from our sins and you were resurrected 3 days later and now sit at the right hand of the Father. Please have mercy on me and create in me a clean heart. Thenk you Jesus, for dying for me and saving me! I give my life to you. I surrender all to you. I dedicate my entire being and all that I do, to you. Help me to give my life 100% to you."

God bless you. If you need to talk, please email me at lisamday123@yahoo.com

Love,

Lisa
